Dave Knox
Dave is a musician, sound engineer, local Devon promoter and former Kabins' Manager.
A guitarist and bass player with over 30 years experience playing in bands, signed and unsigned, he has played with many of his heroes including the Levellers, Asian Dub Foundation, Hawkwind and Senser.
Playing on stages from Glastonbury to Beautiful Days and Respect Festival and venues up and down the country, David also runs the Battle of the Bands.
Dave is also DBS Checked and Music Champion for the Arts and Culture Network East Devon (ACED) to create opportunities for musicians.

Dave is our recording engineer and has been making music for ever, playing the bass and guitar in numerous bands as well as recording for years. He’s done live sound for hundreds of acts and music he’s recorded has gained tens of thousands of streams, been played on BBC Introducing and radio worldwide. He specialises in recording and mixing demos and then working with producers for final streaming, radio and tv release.
He recorded albums this for The Kredo, Vodka Doll, Collectiv and 4 Eps for Selectiv, which were featured on numerous compilations. Recently, he’s recorded 2 Eps for the Supermercados, live videos for Southern Fried Groove Queens, demos for Pack of Animals, an album’s worth of material for the Kabins and a 3-track EP for Leonard & The Zombies.
Then a four-track, 3rd EP for No Ordinary Fish, which is currently being mixed, and a five-track EP for 2023 Battle of the Bands winners the Upper Hand. The four winners of the 2024 Devon Secondary Schools Battle of the Bands are being recorded this winter, including a 2nd EP for Leonard & The Zombies.
Vodka Doll was mixed & mastered by Shaun Cronin, Rick Wolkers Mixed and Mastered the Collectiv Album, Selectiv by Andi Bliss, the Supermercados by Tom Harrison, Pete Marten mixed & mastered 3 Kabins’ single releases and Leonard & The Zombies’ Debut “Apocalypse” EP.
Pete Marten
Pete is the mixing and mastering engineer we've worked with on for all of the Kabins & Leonard & The Zombies Studio recordings. His own music is pretty good too!!!
He takes our recordings and adds some real magic to make the songs sound huge and full of life.
And, having won “Best Producer” at MIDI TV's 2024 Devon Music Awards, your music is in safe hands!
